Lugares con Memoria

Madres de Plaza de Mayo Línea Fundadora promotes this program, which grew out of the need for a national cartography of memory: a map that highlights the work carried out by a wide range of social, religious, and educational groups in creating marks, traces, landmarks, and signs of resistance to dictatorships and state terrorism.

It is a publicly accessible digital geospatial platform dedicated to preserving, raising the visibility of, and georeferencing sites, markers, and spaces linked to memory, truth, and justice throughout Argentina. At Cambalache, we made our technology platform available to strengthen the Association’s preservation and outreach efforts. The map is continuously updated through joint work: the Association creates and shares new records with their details, and we integrate them into the geospatial environment.
